PLEASANT HILL — A 29-year-old man was in jail after a tip led to his arrest this week on suspicion of possession and production of child pornography, authorities said Thursday.

In a statement, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office said a tip from “an electronic communication service provider” led the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children task force investigators to carry out a search warrant Tuesday in the 100 block of Burns Court.

Authorities shared this image Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019 of Daniel Feliciano, 29, of Pleasant Hill, Calif. (Courtesy Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office)

The search yielded a number of devices containing images of children under age 18 engaging in sexual activity, the district attorney’s office said.

Daniel Feliciano was taken into custody on suspicion of possession and production of child pornography.

He was initially booked into county jail in Martinez on $500,000 bail but was listed Thursday night as held without bail in West County jail, according to a county records check.

A formal charging decision against Feliciano was pending as of Thursday night, and authorities are considering the possibility that other victims may come forward.

Detectives with the Concord, Martinez, Moraga, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon and Walnut Creek police departments, as well as investigators with the district attorney’s office, probation department and sheriff’s office, comprise the task force, which is managed by San Jose police.
